Exploring 'Music City'
I’ve put together a list of places I visited or wanted to check out while there so hopefully this will help inspire you to go visit and have the best time ever! A few other helpful tips I found were from Nashville Guru’s IG + Site, Visit Music City site & The NashvilleGuide IG. But really besides the tips below IG & TikTok were really helpful! Marriott Renaissance Nashville Hotel: We stayed here and loved the location and convenience of it being to everything we were trying to do!
Shows
Bluebird Cafe (reservation required or get there early as there is a long wait without reservations)
Restaurants
Superica (Gulch, tex-mex)
Adeles Restaurant (Gulch, American)
Nicky’s Coal Fired (The Nations, pizza/Italian)
The Optimist (Germantown, seafood, will need reservations)
Hattie B’s Hot Chicken (multiple locations; we went to the one on Broadway near our hotel)
Henrietta Red (Germantown, seafood)
Biscuit Love (brunch): So yummy! A little bit of a line when we got there so if you go on a weekend be prepared to wait a bit as you order at the front and then they seat you.
The Smiling Elephant (Melrose, Thai)
Assembly Food Hall: We loved it here between all the food options, bars and live music it was GREAT!
Josephine (12 South, American/Southern)

City House (Germantown, Italian/American, James Beard Award Winner)
HUSK Restaurant (Downtown, American/Southern)
Vui’s Kitchen (three locations in town, pho/Vietnamese)
Five Points Pizza (East Nashville, could be dinner or late night)

Mother’s Ruin Nashville (Germantown, great cocktails and food, very loud)

GreenHouse (Green Hills, in an actual GreenHouse)
Dino’s (East Nashville, dive bar, also great for dinner)
The Late Great Speakeasy (reservations required)
Red Phone Booth (you’ll need a phone number to get in we got it from the lady at our hotel!)

Outdoors
Centennial Park (Midtown, easy, any comfortable shoe)
Radnor Lake (Green Hills, easy-moderate, any comfortable shoe)
Percy Warner Park (Belle Meade, moderate, dirty shoes)
Beaman Park (Northwest Nashville, out and back, dirty shoes)
Narrows of the Harpeth (Kingston Springs, canoeing, check water levels!)
Activities
The First (Downtown, art gallery, will need tickets)
Nelson GreenBrier Distillery (Marathon Village, whiskey, will need tickets)
Tennessee State Museum (Bicentennial Mall, free)
House of Cards (Magic Show)
Johnny Cash Museum: This was honestly such an interesting museum and I learned so much more about Johnny Cash! The museum itself was also so well done and pretty plus many artifacts! Highly recommend checking it out! ($30ish/pp)
Station Inn (bluegrass + country)
Country Music Hall of Fame + Museum ($30/pp with out the additional experiences)
Walk around near the river
Walk to the Capitol Building
Nashville Palace - Line dancing (not close to downtown)
Honkey Tonk row
Honestly there are so many bars on Honkey Tonk Row day or night you can’t go wrong with where you step into. There was so much live music it was so fun! Our two favorite spots which we went back to over the weekend was Tootsies & Nudies but we did make a few other stops throughout the other days while we were strolling Broadway.
