Hello, my name is Coco!
As the founder and adventurer behind NationalCOCOgraphic, I created this platform to guide you on where to stay, what to see, and which outdoor activities to enjoy while immersing yourself in new cultures. Most importantly, it's a space where I share my stories, experiences, and adventures. Traveling can be challenging, and everyone's journey is unique. I wanted to inspire others in their travel plans while preserving my unforgettable memories.
Where it all Started
I was born in Singapore and spent my childhood across Southeast Asia. Growing up as a third culture kid, I've been fortunate enough to travel a lot and growing up overseas was life changing. Experiencing diverse cultures has profoundly shaped who I am today and ignited my passion for travel.
One of my favorite aspects of traveling is tasting incredible food, sightseeing and meeting amazing people. While I've taken a few solo trips, I personally prefer traveling with friends or my partner.
Traveling
Getting back into traveling after Covid-19 has been incredibly fun, and I feel so grateful for the experience. I've been lucky to make some great new friends, and we've traveled extensively both within the USA and abroad. I met these new friends through BumbleBFF, and I couldn't be more thankful.
Over the years, I've also had the chance to travel with some of my oldest and closest friends. I believe that traveling with others is the most enjoyable and enriching experience. While I've taken a few solo trips, I definitely prefer traveling with companions!
History behind the Name
I've always written about my travels, both growing up and as an adult, just to journal my incredible experiences. I'm a full-time Sr. Visual Designer with experience in freelancing, advertising, and now tech.
During my career in advertising, a colleague would often ask, "Where is NationalCocoGraphic off to next?" I loved the name and decided to use it for my blog to share my stories. I started on Tumblr and eventually transitioned to a personal website. Here we are today!
