Explore Palm Springs
For those that don’t know much about me I’ve been living in San Francisco for 10 years. Yes that is insane since I honestly can’t tell you where the time has gone. Even within those 10 years I still haven’t seen a lot of California. There are seriously so many things to do and see it’s hard to see everything. Anyway with that being said for my friends 30th birthday a few months ago we decided to spend the weekend enjoying the sun, hanging by the pool and in great company with some of her closest friends.
So we booked our flights to head over to the one and only PALM SPRINGS! While there are so many ways you can do Palm Springs we did it on the cheaper end and got an AirBnB. On our excursions out and about we found some great places to eat and some I plan to go back to when I visit again. The abundance of sunny days and warm winter weather makes Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley a year-round playground for those who enjoy being active—and those who don’t. From a great girls weekend of relaxation to drinking or a couples weekend there are so many things one can do.
Anyway this weekend really was a perfect relaxing weekend from cooking in our AirBnB, to lounging by the pool to a lovely night on the town and walking around exploring the many shops and cafe’s there is in Palm Springs. Since it was my friends dirty 30 we couldn’t help but go all out. We bought a bunch of decorations for the AirBnB, set up a photo booth for her & of course had all our food delivered thanks to instacart!
My friend and I are super into finding great instagramable spots or things to do so we thought what better an idea then finding the perfect instagramable dinner restaurant to celebrate her bday. So as Saturday came around we got dressed took a few pictures with our Photo Booth and cheersed to the birthday girl and headed on our way to Azucar Restaurant. Delicious food, great atmosphere and some amazing margaritas. They even have a rooftop bar which was a great way to end the evening after our meal before checking out a few more bars in the area.
Another to-do on the birthday girls list was the Door tour so we got up bright and early lounged by the pool before heading out into the heat and walking around the neighborhood. I’m one of those girls that sits in the sun too long and instantly burns, so I had my go to sun screen Coola and my floppy had all ready for my walk and pool time. There are so many gorgeous houses here in Palm Springs we even stumbled upon an open house and took a look inside plus it was the perfect excuse to escape the heat!
Over all this was a super successful weekend and here are a few more tips of places to stay, things to do and places to eat! Enjoy!!
