A Girls Weekend in San Diego
A few weeks ago I went down to SD for a fun filled girls weekend. This is my third time visiting San Diego and everytime I've been it's a different experience. There are so many great things to do here and this is only a start of some of the great places to explore while there.
Balboa Park Balboa Park is filled with SOOO many things to do and I honestly wish I spent more time here. It's a gorgeous park filled with lots of museums, gorgeous gardens and even more beautiful architecture. One could actually spend at least half a day to a full day here exploring the gardens & museums.
Don’t miss the rose or cacti garden right next to each other. I let my cacti obsession drag me over to the cacti area.
Don’t miss the Botanical Building filled with all the luscious green plants across from a pond and fountain.
Most importantly, my favorite part of Balboa park was visiting the Spanish Village Art Center. I seriously thought I stepped into a Spanish Village it brought back so many memories of my visits to Spain as a kid. Its beautiful with the colorful tiles, flowers and unique artsy vibes. This village is filled with over 200 local artisans filled with so much passion and love for their work it was inspiring. From painters, jewelers to photographers all types of artists create the work and sell it here.
San Diego Zoo One of the best zoos in the world.
Old Town San Diego Super cute town filled with lots of classic Mexican restaurants, history and architecture. Worth spending a couple hours for some great Mexican food and maybe even some margaritas.
Seaport Village Great view located at the end of downtown San Diego lots of cute shops and some good restaurants.
Hotel Del Coronado One of the most iconic parts of San Diego is Hotel Del so you have to make sure you stop by. Looking for a fun evening stop grab a drink at the bar on the terrace overlooking the water while you admire the amazing sunset over the ocean. Don't forget to check out the cute stores and beautiful interior of the hotel.
If you’re feeling up to it also check out some amazing restaurants on Coronado island.
The Ground Bean Bar Want some great coffee/tea and avocado toast grab your laptop or a friend and come enjoy some great food at this spot.
Better Buzz Coffee Super cute coffee shop with an outside area with great coffee/ tea and snacks.
Bing Haus Adorable and very instagram worthy with some amazing food and drink options.
Crown Point Coffee Super small with a nice little outside area serving great food and drinks. Perfect for anyone wanting to eat a little healthy.
